Business Development Manager

Reports to the COO                                                                       

InSpec seeks a Business Development Manager with demonstrated success building a client base for design/engineering/build services with a focus on high-tech manufacturing or large industrial construction.  Semiconductor fabrication, solar cell fabrication, high tech manufacturing, food processing or similar backgrounds are desired. 

Major Responsibilities:

The Business Development Manager will market the company's services throughout the Pacific Northwest, focusing on new domestic projects.

 The Business Development Manager should be a detail oriented self-starter with outstanding relationship, management, and organizational skills. 

This person will be a critical part of the executive strategic planning team, developing short and long term regional goals and meeting those goals.

This person must have an excellent and proven understanding of the overall process involved in the design/engineering/build industry.

Duties include:

• Sales development: Cold calls, networking for leads, sales call opportunities.
• Email and phone communication with staff and management.
• Written communication and proposal review/input assistance. 
• Preparing and organizing presentation materials.

The ideal candidate will have a proven business development track record in the region, a strong network and the ability to maintain ongoing client relationships after project start-up.  Regional travel will be required.

Must Have:

• A minimum 7 years experience in increasing levels of responsibility with proven success in business development in the South East . 
• The ability to create and implement marketing plans and collateral, working closely with InSpec's Marketing team.
• A strong sales background, particularly in construction, design/build, or construction management.
• Superb communication skills and a proven ability to create professional proposals and presentations.  The ability to network and maintain appropriate professional memberships and participate in appropriate events and organizations.
• Prefer a degree in Marketing, Business or Construction Management
