Job Description
The candidate to fill this role will be responsible for the efficient operation and management of the civil and building portions of a large fast track Industrial Project and will be the front line management of their discipline. They will have daily communication with Client's on-site personnel to ensure coordination with design and construction. They are responsible for preparing and administration of bid packages, contracts, subcontracts and purchase orders as well as tracking material deliveries to the site.

Responsibilities
- Prepare, purchase and manage each subcontract.
- Ensure full compliance of all trade contractors and vendors to their contractual terms.
- Personally manage and monitor scheduling, coordination, supervision, procurement, shop drawings, cost reviews and controls, inspections, review of the facilities and equipment required for this scope.
- Approve contractor pay requests, maintain documentation control, meeting coordination, safety, quality assurance/quality control and project close-out for their respective management area. Direct all accounting including the processing of contractor and vendor invoicing and the compilation of monthly owner's invoice.
- Prepare and diligently review owner, contractor, and vendor change orders for the project.
- Ensure that all change orders are compatible with contractual terms for the project.
- Provide continuous update and feedback for their portions of the project and manage Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings and Subcontractor coordination meetings.
- Provide front-line management and direction of subcontractor effort and activity. Interface with Subcontractor and Vendor Management to ensure subcontractor "health" and commitment.
- Provide technical management for the different trade disciplines and specialties, such as steel erectors, earthwork and finishes subs, welders, and all third-party testing.
- Diligently review all installation and lift plans, Shop Drawings, erection plans, erosion control plans, etc for compliance.
Other Skills
- 10+ years of experience in the construction industry as safety manager or safety professional.
- Extensive knowledge of OSHA safety standards and regulations with emphasis on construction.
- Certification in the area of Decatur would be a plus.
- CPR/First Aid/AED certified.
- A minimum 50 hour work week, with at least one weekend a month
- Proficient in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project and basic Windows OS applications.
- All applicants are expected to have good independent, good organizational and communication skills.
- This position requires a considerable amount of walking, climbing stairs/ladders/raised platforms and other physical demanding items. A physical will be required of all candidates seriously consider of this position.
