Job Description
The Site Manager is responsible for all construction management procedures necessary to ensure that all work within the projects related to civil, mechanical and electrical / instrumentation systems is constructed and/or installed in compliance with all construction documents, budgets, schedule and quality expectations of an owner and InSpec.

Responsibilities
- Reviews and assists in preparation of proposal packages for each subcontract.
- Ensures full compliance of all trade contractors and vendors to their contractual terms.
- Personally participates in and monitors scheduling, coordination, supervision, procurement, shop drawings, cost reviews and controls, inspections, review of the facilities and equipment required for this scope.
- Personally reviews all field progress in their respective area and keeps Manager of Construction and Senior Project Manager informed of progress, delays, conflict, and potential problem area. The General Site Manager and the Senior Project Manager will plan and implement all actions necessary for resolution of conflicts and problems.
- Approves contractor pay requests, maintains documentation control, meeting coordination, safety, quality assurance/quality control and project close-out for their respective management area.
- Conducts weekly progress meeting with Area Superintendent and contractors.
- Manages on-site equipment coordination staff and supports the staff with the resources necessary to successfully execute the work.
- Monitors subcontract performance to ensure compliance with contract documents and schedule maintenance.
- Acts as "up-front" coordinator of process equipment requirements.
- Develops and maintains equipment management systems for tracking of shop drawing status, revision status, quality assurance, delivery tracking and inspections.
- Coordinates with the owner and its vendor's equipment deliveries and installation.
- Ensures owner satisfaction through a safe, knowledgeable, understanding demeanor and personal presentation. Avoid conflicts with the owner's vendors and installers, as well as those of which InSpec is directly responsible. Command respect from fellow workers through dispute resolution and avoidance as well as coordination.
- Is knowledgeable of all aspects of the project, ensures the project office and site remain absolutely safe and clean at all times through the course of the project.
- Ensures that Safety is priority ONE, no exception.
Other Skills
- 10+ years of experience in the construction industry as safety manager or safety professional.
- Extensive knowledge of OSHA safety standards and regulations with emphasis on construction.
- Certification in the area of Decatur would be a plus.
- CPR/First Aid/AED certified.
- Proficient in the use of MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project and basic Windows OS applications.
- All applicants are expected to have good independent, good organizational and communication skills.
- This position requires a considerable amount of walking, climbing stairs/ladders/raised platforms and other physical demanding items. A physical will be required of all candidates seriously consider of this position.
